bed•lam•ite (bĕd‘lə-mῑt’) n. A madman; lunatic.
Most people who struggle with mental illness are led to believe they’re insane. However, here at Bedlamite Publications, we believe society’s insane and we’re all simply products of that.
This resource has been designed primarily for men. According to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, men are more than 3 times as likely to commit suicide than woman. This may have something to do with the fact that, in accordance to social norms and natural tendencies, men are less likely to seek help and try and solve the issue themselves.
Still, the goal of this blog is to educate all people both about mental health conditions and society’s role in these conditions. From there, we teach philosophy as a means of spiritual exploration.
Though there’s no science confirming it, we at Bedlamite Publications truly believe that spirituality holds the secrets to unlocking our inner demons and discovering our larger purpose. We say this from our own personal experiences and the positive changes we’ve seen spirituality has had on others.
We invite you to join us on this journey of the mind. To better educate ourselves on what a mental health condition is, how human psychology works, how society impacts our mentality, and what we can do to better our lives.
This blog is meant to provoke thoughts for the sake of discovering solutions. We invite you to further our discussions.
